I am a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, having graduated from University College Cork in 2024.
My career as a registered Mental Health Nurse since 2018 has provided me with years of experience working with individuals facing a wide range of mental health challenges. My time as a mental health nurse has provided me with an understanding and deep respect for the strength it takes for one to seek mental health support. This has shaped my warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
I strive to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard and valued. Building a strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my practice, allowing us to work collaboratively to address each client’s unique needs.
I draw on the scientific evidence-based knowledge that is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. CBT is one of the most widely researched forms of psychotherapy. As a CBT therapist, my goal is to help clients identify and challenge maladaptive thought patterns and behaviors, while facilitating goal-oriented change in a safe and structured environment.
I have experience and a particular interest in working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and perfectionism. I am passionate about empowering clients to develop their own “toolbox” of skills, fostering lasting habits that enable them to navigate future challenges with confidence and independence.
